Join us in the Georgian setting of the Lady Eleanor Room for an intimate dinner in conversation with the artist, Eugene Conway, who’s exhibition The Road Home, brings paintings by this Kilkenny-based realist to Butler House during the 2026 Kilkenny Arts Festival.

In collaboration with Gormleys, Conway’s atmospheric landscapes capture rural Ireland’s quiet beauty, bringing his gentle sense of place to Butler House
A special 30 mile menu features the bounty of the county sourced from with 30 miles of the house.
Each course shines a light on a different local food hero: trout from Thomastown, apples from organic orchards, meat and dairy from family producers, whiskey distilled in sight of the city’s spires. Our kitchen simply brings them together, with classic technique and a light touch, so
you can enjoy this long table menu – made by our neighbours, and cooked especially for you.

Following the success of our recent Long Table Dining events, we are delighted to announce a special Savour Kilkenny Festival Long Table Dinner, taking place as part of our 240th anniversary celebrations at Butler House & Garden.
The evening will begin with a seasonal cocktail and canapés, followed by an elegant long table dining experience in the historic Lady Eleanor Restaurant. Guests will enjoy a curated four-course menu created by Chef Ben Davis, showcasing the finest seasonal ingredients sourced from within 30 miles of Butler House and celebrating the exceptional quality of local producers.
