Sounds of Summer at Butler Garden

Running over three Saturdays in June, all events will be *Free* to the public and will take place in the stunning surroundings of Butler Garden in the heart of Kilkenny City.

Saturday June 4th | Saturday June 11th & Saturday June 25th |12.00 p.m. – 12.30 p.m.

Join us in the Garden Saturday June 4th ,12.00 p.m. – 12.30 p.m. for a String Performance with students from Scoil Naomh Fiachra, Clontubrid, Co. Kilkenny and St. Kieran’s NS, Johnstown, Co. Kilkenny. Both Schools take part in the Music Generation Kilkenny Primary School String Programme and are taught by musician educator Carl Rochford. The young musicians are very much looking forward to performing in the garden at Butler House.

Saturday June 11th & Saturday June 25th | 12.00 p.m. – 12.30 p.m. each day

Young musicians from the ‘Creative Music Space’ will perform a selection of songs for the ‘Sounds of Summer’ series in Butler House Gardens on the 11th of June and the 25th of June at 12pm.

Music Generation Kilkenny is managed by Kilkenny Music Education Partnership, a partnership between Kilkenny and Carlow Education and Training Board and Kilkenny County Council.

About Creative Music Space:

An after-school rock and pop music hub run in partnership with Foróige at the DRUM, MacDonagh Shopping Centre on Thursdays delivering small group lessons in ukulele, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, drums and singing.
