Dog Friendly Room
Avoid the issue of finding a ‘dog-sitter’ when you next plan a breakaway, and instead, treat your dog to a break of their own.
We are delighted to welcome dogs to stay with us in Butler House by prior arrangement and are pleased to offer a limited number of dog friendly bedrooms within the main house.
Our rooms offer stylish, comfortable accommodation with a French style Queen double bed and seating area for two people. We offer a dog bed base for your dog’s own bed so that your dog will feel immediately at home - we all love our creature comforts! And to make a fuss of your pet, we have pet treats at the ready and a toy to welcome your dog in room on arrival.
Your dog friendly room has the benefit of double doors leading directly to the garden, so your pet can easily be taken outside for walks in our walled garden.
You’ll find yourself in the company of dog lovers in Butler House and our team will be happy to recommend their favourite dog walks, whether it’s the 50 acres of Kilkenny Castle Parkland or the River walk (a short stroll from the House); you’ll find lots to entertain your dog on its Kilkenny break away!
Dog-friendly bedrooms are subject to a nightly supplement of €40 in addition to our standard bedroom rate.
For the comfort of all our guests, dogs are permitted in the Reception lounge area only, where owners can enjoy and relax in soft armchairs, cosy in front of the fire. Drinks and dishes from our Garden View Menu can be served very comfortably to you here.
Dogs are welcome be prior arrangement only. This dog friendly package is bespoke and is exclusively available when you book direct with us. It is not bookable online.
