By Direct Bus
The JJ Kavanagh 717 runs from Dublin Airport (Zone 16) to Ormonde Road, a short walk from Butler House. Journey time is about 2 hours and 20 minutes.
By Train via Dublin City Centre
Take the Aircoach to Heuston Station, then the train to Kilkenny. The journey takes around 3 hours and 15 minutes. MacDonagh Station is about a 10-minute walk from Butler House.
By Car Hire or Taxi
Driving takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes. Car hire is ideal if you plan to explore beyond Kilkenny. Remember that driving in Ireland is on the left and speed limits are shown in kilometres per hour.
By Ferry
