The Kilkenny Catwalk Art Trail was officially launched at Butler House & Garden on Kilkenny Day last Sunday!

The Trail, featuring 21 magnificent cat sculptures follows a route around the city centre. Visitors are invited to follow the trail, located in our beautiful public spaces many of which are attached to the heritage buildings around the city, and find out more about the art and the artists, and make bids for a sculpture by downloading the Kilkenny Catwalk 2021 App. The trail is designed to immerse people in Kilkenny’s rich heritage.

The Kilkenny Catwalk Art Trail will raise money which will be reinvested by the Kilkenny Civic Trust in vital conservation work.

We are delighted to be a host location for two of the fantastic Cats;

We are so proud to have the amazing ‘Cat That Got the Cream’ created by Eamon Colman, and ‘All Together Now’ created by Chris Judge on display.

Also in the vicinity are ‘Black Cat’ created by Steven Aylin in the Castle Yard at the National Design & Craft Gallery and Pangur A Lán created by Francis Tansey Kilkenny Castle.

Our Sister Property the Medieval Mile Museum also has a fantastic cat on display - 'Stella' by local Artist Gerard Casey.

Visit www.kilkennycatwalk.ie to read more about the project, and make sure to follow along on Social Media on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for updates along the way.

Download the App on IOS and Android and start exploring!
